| A rainbow of color comes off these iridized glass squares that have been fused and slumped at 1200 degrees. These 4" squares almost have a laquered look that pick up light at every angle. The two on the right are are emerald in color and the other one is purple and gold iridized glass fused with ebony or black glass. Another stunning creation by Leda Contis, of Big Hair, Fire and Glass, who works at home and at the Crucible in Oakland California. She has been working in glass for over 10 years and has learned much about the reactive qualities of many different types of glass when they are heated and fused together. |
